FULL MOON PADDLE FRIDAY EVENING
Friday, 15. January 2010Meet us at Kim Sha Beach in front of the Atrium Hotel for a casual Full Moon Paddle this evening, Friday, the 23rd of July.
If you do not have your own boat, you can rent one at the very special price of $5 for singles and $8 for Doubles.
We will begin by paddling up along the coast towards
Beacon Hill or Pelican Keys (depends on the wind direction) and then head back to watch the moon coming up over the hills. Stay on for a bonfire at La Bamba and drinks under the stars.
This week brings us no major races, but we do have some fun training sessions besides the Full Moon Paddle. You can read more about the courses and meeting times in this week’s schedule. and of course, the Tour de France will keep our mornings occupied enough as it is!
Tip of the week: If you don’t have a television at work (because we’re not all as lucky as Mark, Ha!), tune in to www.channelsurfing.net and scroll down to Tour de France. Voila, free live coverage…..just don’t let your boss catch you!!

Michael Bacon finished Saturday’s 50-Mile Silverman Mountain Bike Race in Leadville, Colorado in 6h28m which placed him in 238th position from a field of 505 riders. Great job Michael!! Must have been tough as we noticed he didn’t start the 50-Mile Trail Running Race the following day. Hmmmmm……
We also want to congratulate the Caribbean’s friendliest bike mechanic (besides you Fred!!), Reggie Douglas, who placed 9th in Sunday’s John T. Memorial Road Race. We heard that the conditions were terribly wet, but that there was a great turn out nevertheless. When results appear we will be sure to let you know!
